Dan Surry
Dan Surry is an Assistant Professor in the Instructional Design and
Development program at the Unviersity of South Alabama. In that capacity, he
teaches courses related to performance systems technology and training. He
also advises master's and doctoral students and serves on several college
and university-wide committees. Prior to joining USA in 1999, he was on the
faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi (1996 -1999) and the
Unviersity of Alabama (1995-1996). From 1993-1995, he served as
Instructional Technologist at California State Unversity, Fresno. He holds a
Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of
Georgia and a Master's of Science in Instructional Design from the
University of South Alabama. Dan's research and consulting interests relate
to change in large organizations with a focus on the adoption and
implementation of instructional innovations in education and business. He
has published a number of articles and has presented at numerous regional,
national, and international conferences. Dan is the moderator of ITFORUM, a
popular listserv where instructional technology professionals from around
the world discuss current issues.
