A Field Trip to Potter's Lake
On May 16th, 2001 our 5th grade science class took a trip to the University of Kansas to visit Potter's Lake. During our trip, we found numerous examples of the wonders of nature!
We crossed the bridge to the lake
The belltower was chiming us a tune
A butterfly was warming in the sun
A bumble bee had a sweet drink
A bluejay was enjoying the shade
Yellow iris were in full bloom
A horsefly enjoyed a cool breeze
A "hairy" turtle surfaced for air
Water lillies floated on the water
Unfortunately, we saw signs of human ignorance
