Import Graphic Tutorial
HyperStudio
Objective: To Import Graphic or Image
Introduction: HyperStudio is a dynamic, educational software that allows users to import graphics and images from all different types of sources, such as a digital camera, scanner, CD, floppy disk, internet, and video camera. By following a few simple steps, imported graphics and images can easily be inserted into HyperStudio "cards" to make presentations more visual impressive.
Skill Practice: Import Graphic
Step 1: Identify an existing graphic or image that you want to use with a HyperStudio "card". Transfer the file to your computer, a CD, or floppy disk for use with this tutorial.
Step 2: Open
. Go to File > New Stack to create the first card of a new stack.
Step 3: On the menu bar at the top of the screen, go to Objects > Add a Graphic Object. A window will appear on screen asking you "where do you want to get your graphic?". Choose the source, such as disk file. Click on "OK".
Step 4: The "Please Select a Picture File" window will appear on screen. Use the options on the window to locate the graphic or image you want to insert into the card. When you have found the desired image, "highlight" it, and click on "Open". The image will now appear on your card.
Step 5: The "Graphic Objects" window will appear on screen. Your image will appear in the window. "Double-click" on the "Box" icon
to have all of the selected image appear on your card, or "double-click" on the "Lasso" icon
, and "click-and-drag" your cursor around the section of the image you want included on your card. When finished, click on "OK". The portion of the image you highlighted with the "Lasso" tool will appear on your card. Click on your card - the "Graphic Appearance" window will appear on screen.
Step 6: The "Graphic Appearance" window will allow you to preview, name, and attach "actions" to your imported image. Use the options as desired.
When finished, click on "OK". Your "finalized" image will appear on the HyperStudio card.
