Random Picture Display Assignment

Requirements: Create a web page that displays images in random order.


Basic Assignment Option:

Step 1: Create a short essay about one of the topics in the list below or on a topic of your choice.
Step 2: Locate five images that illustrate your essay.
Step 3: Create a web page that displays your essay and one of the five images in a random order when the page is reloaded.

Full Credit
  • Essay and images are topically related.
  • All five images display properly
  • The essay uses proper grammar and form.
Partial Credit
  • At least one image displays properly.
  • The essay uses some improper grammar or form.
  • Some of the images are not related to the topic.
No Credit
  • None of the images display properly.
  • None of the images are related to the topic. The essay fails to meet minimum standards for writing quality.


Intermediate Assignment Option:

Step 2: Locate more than five images that illustrate your essay.
Step 3: Create a web page that displays your essay and one of the many images in a random order when the page is reloaded.

Advanced Assignment Option:

Step 1: Create a short essay about one of the topics in the list below or on a topic of your choice.
Step 2: Locate more than five images that illustrate your essay.
Step 3: Create a web page that displays your essay and one of the many images in a random order when the page is reloaded.
Step 4: Modify your web page to display more than one random image at a time.

  • At least two images display in the page per reload.
  • All images display properly
  • The essay uses proper grammar and form.

  • Some of the images display properly.
  • The essay uses some improper grammar or form.
