Objective: Insert a Hyperlink in an Excel Spreadsheet



Introduction: Educators who love to use Excel, and all of it's many functions, can now produce dynamic, interactive spreadsheets by creating and inserting hyperlinks to internet web pages on spreadsheets.



Skill Practice: Insert a Hyperlink in an Excel Spreadsheet

Step 1: Open . Either create a new Excel spreadsheet file, or open an existing Excel file.

Step 2: Within the Excel spreadsheet you are using, identify the data that you wish to "link" (hyperlink) to an internet website. Click on the cell(s) - - the cell's perimeter becomes highlighted in black.

Step 3: On the "menu bar" at the top of the page, go to Insert > Hyperlink. The "Insert Hyperlink" window will appear on screen.
