My Summer Vacation 2002

...It all started over Memorial Day weekend. I took a 4 to a remote _ location. I was going to @ for gold!!! My goal was to make a lot of $ so that I would never have to go back to school again. I 9 out under the stars the first night. The next day I hiked into a ³ gold mine – it had been abandon for 75 years! I cautiously entered the mine, and found an old treasure chest. It was locked, and I didn’t have the B. Just then, I heard coming from within the mine, and I saw a light coming from within one of the rooms. I walked quietly towards the light – and I saw what appeared to be a ghost! - Ù! The ghost was playing on a violin. I quickly C toward the entrance of the mine and ran!!!

After that experience, I decided that maybe I should dig for ? rather than gold. So I 4 down to Texas and started to @ for oil immediately. I did this for the rest of the summer. When I failed to find oil, and didn’t make the $ I thought I would, a new idea A in my head. I decided that going back to school wasn’t such a bad idea after all. I took a à up the Gulf of Mexico to the Mississippi River delta, up the Mississippi River to the convergence with the Missouri River, up the Missouri River to the convergence with the Kansas River, up the Kansas River to Lawrence. And here I am, telling all of E about my adventures this past summer. And boy! - am I glad to be here telling you this story rather than in that condemned gold mine with that violin-playing ghost!!!!
