Inspiration
Objective: To use a drawing tool in a project
Introduction: Inspiration comes equipped with drawing tools, such as the free form line tool -
, that can be used with projects and creations. With a few simple "clicks" of the mouse button, and the use of the mouse as the drawing utencil, an educator can use Inspiration drawing tools to add a personal touch of creativity to a project.
Skill Practice: Use a drawing tool in a project
Step 1: Open
. A new, blank document will appear on screen.
Step 2: Go to View > Symbol Palette to have the Inspiration Symbols palette appear on screen.
Step 3: Go to View > Toolbar > Draw to have the "Draw Toolbar" appear on screen.
Step 4: Add pictures and text to your Inspiration file. Click on the "freeform" line tool -
to create a "curly" line -

Step 5: Click on the "line tool" icon
to add a straight line(s) to your project -
.
Step 6: Click on the "line color" icon
to add color to your added lines.

Step 7: Other Options - Click-and-drag over your drawn line(s) so that the "sizing handles" appear around the line(s). Go to Effect - a drop-down menu will appear that provides further formatting options for your the lines you have drawn, such as "line thickness" and "fill color".
