The Distinguished Faculty
Technology Innovation in Education Award

The First Annual "Distinguished Faculty Technology Innovation in Education Award" is ready to begin accepting submissions. This awards program is designed to identify and reward one of our exemplary faculty members for their outstanding achievements in their use of technology in education.  Submissions are open to all (School) _____ faculty instructors.  

Criteria Divider

The Faculty member applying for this award must be able to demonstrate with measurable results as many of the following ten items as possible:

1. Be innovative with your use of technology
2. Demonstrate creative and effective approaches to integrating technology into your classroom instruction
3. Collaboration between colleagues and students
4. Demonstrate measurable results
5. Show major changes, improvements, enhancements all to further technology in education
6. Develop teaching materials, displaying media-rich hands-on coursework and projects for and by students
7. Inspire and promote instructional uses of technology
8. Reach beyond the classroom walls using Community Resources to transform teaching in a positive way
9. Be a facilitator integrating academics with core technologies to exemplify state-of-the-art Technology in Education
10. Ultimately the one ability that must be demonstrated by the Award winner is "Making Student Achievement the Definitive Goal"

You will need to provide a narrative of no more than two pages in length describing how you have utilized technology creatively to support education.

Applications shall also include a Portfolio of Examples documenting your
innovation, creativity and effectiveness, sharing, changes, improvements, enhancements, teaching materials, coursework, projects, community resource usage, academic and core technology integration.
Most importantly, how you are "Making Student Achievement the Definitive Goal".  The evaluation committee will use the ten rubric items above to assist in determining the top scoring portfolio entries.  

Judging Divider

A review committee coordinated by _____ will select the winner.  Judging may be by persons not familiar with your specific subject or content area.  Therefore, your presentation must be in general terms understandable by all.
